Nursing and Midwifery Education Service (NaMES) Update

Nursing and Midwifery Education Service (NaMES) Update

In order to support the transformational EMR Program through to a safe and successful Go-Live, the NaMES team will be revising planned education and training activities across all sites.

This will enable the NaMES team to prepare to support you for the safe and smooth rollout of the EMR.

Please read the NaMES Education Update flyer for a detailed breakdown of the activities that will continue as planned, those that will be scaled back, and ones that will be postponed.

We would advise that during this period, Nursing and Midwifery Managers spread the rostering of your graduates across different shifts where possible, to ensure they are scheduled to work alongside more experienced colleagues. A graduate supported roster template has been provided to managers to assist with this process.

We are committed to ensuring all essential training and support activities are maintained throughout the Go-Live period, and that postponed activities will be rescheduled following Go-Live.

All Nursing and Midwifery employees can be assured that education will resume as normal following this exciting introduction of the EMR.

We will continue to support you throughout the transition period. If you have any queries please speak to a NaMES Educator, Clinical Education Coordinator or contact NaMES administration on (03) 9594 2876.
